Vicksburg, Mississippi - This is a Confederate and Civilian Living History of the actions that took place around the city the winter of 1863. This time period saw the failures of Sherman's assaults near the garrison, and Grant's failure to approach the city overland. We will be moving around the park portraying various units, so plan on some good marching.

Land Between the Lakes, Tennessee - Following Sherman’s 1864 Christmas Gift of Savannah, his command began to push North through the Carolinas. To counter this movement, Gen Joseph E. Johnston came out of retirement to take command of the Army of Tennessee. As the AOT maneuvered to mass forces, there were numerous small engagements in the backwaters of North Carolina. This event replicates these engagements in March of 1865.

Crossville, Tennessee - In August, 1862 General E. Kirby Smith’s Army marched from Tennessee to link up with Braxton Bragg's invasion of Kentucky. Crossing the Cumberland Mountains, Smith assigned Ledbetter’s Brigade of Heth’s Division to assist the Army’s trains. During the move they encountered Unionist “Bushwhackers”, mountainous terrain, bad roads and inclement weather. We are recreating one brigade’s trains in General Smith’s Army.

This outpost style event will be located near Rome, Georgia - The Scenario is the period between Chickamauga and Missionary Ridge. The Confederate side would portray the 45th Alabama in Cleburnes Division on the right end of the Confederate line. Federal portrayal will be announced at a later date. More details to come soon. This event is co-hosted by the WIG and SCAR.

New Madrid, Missouri - Part of the 1st Missouri Infantry (Confederate) was raised in Memphis. They then moved to New Madrid in August of 1861 and recruited men from the Bootheel area. The New Madrid Guards, a local militia, became Company "I" in the newly formed regiment. Come to Missouri to "Join the 1st".

Lumpkin, Georgia - Struggles of Secession is a first person, Living History in an authentically reproduced, 1850's Georgia town. Complete with shops, blacksmith, courthouse, homes, etc. We will portray the period of September - October, 1863 in Westville (modeled after Lumpkin, Georgia) of Stewart City to be held in the Westville Historic Village.
