Dandy Jim of Caroline, a celebrated Ethopian melody.
This tune was a "golden oldie" by the 1860's. These Irish jigs come from the playing of Frank B. Converse, and were published in his 1865 "New and Complete Method for the Banjo, With or Without a Master."
