    ALL-

The 31st Annual Ohio Civil War Collectors Show & 15h Annual Artillery Show is this coming weekend in Mansfield, OH on Friday May 3 & Saturday May 4, 2008. For those in the area, this is a show that is really worth attending. I would argue that next to the world famous Nashville Civil War show, this is the second best show in the country. The show is at the Richland County Fairgrounds in Mansfield and features at least 4 buildings of relics for sale, as well as educational displays. There is also a sutler barn like the one at the Nashville show.

College Hill Arsenal will be set up in the main building (Fairhaven) with our 3-table end cap at the end of the first row on your right, at the rear of the building. We are just across the aisle from the Johnson's Island display. Come out and see 1000 tables of cool civil war stuff that you can touch, and even take home if you buy it!

A number of other A/C Approved Vendors also attend this show, and I'll bet they will be adding to this post to let you know that they will be there.

As an added bonus, Fort Donelson Relics (run by A/C Forum members John & Nikki Walsh) will be set up with College Hill Arsenal as well.

I hope to see you all at the show!

I'll be there, in the Arts and Crafts building.

    It's always a good show.

      Hello All,

Todd has asked me to post this while he is away at School learning how to analize Headlights...or something like that for accidents.

We will be set up in Building B, we plan to have our usual assortment of goods and be able to answer any questions you may have about our products or custom orders.

We have been working on Bottom Shirts and Drawers mostly, with some sack coats and civilian items. In addition, we will once again feature items from my mothers collection of knit goods.

In addition, we plan to have a few of our original civilian items on display as well.

Please feel free to stop by and visit and see what we will have.

Hope to see you there and drive safely.

Thanks for the correction- yes the show is Saturday & Sunday. This is just a bump to remind everyone about this great CW show this weekend. Mansfield is about 70 NE of Columbus, OH off of I-71.

              Dave and Todd,

I'm looking forward to meeting both of you at the event. Brian and I will be oooing and ahhing over the relics and likely only taking pictures home with us.

Todd has also kindly offered to sell a few of our products at his table which we'll be taking him up on, so when you stop by his table to buy some of his fine products, give ours a look as well!

For anyone going from I-71, get on Rt. 30 west, which takes you very close to the fairgrounds.

To add to that, just keep your eyes open for the Richland County Fairground Sign. It is a brown state road sign. Upon exiting, at the stop, take a right and at the next light take a left. Follow that road to the end, and the fairgrounds will be on your right. You will know that you are on the correct road, it has telephone poles running down the middle of it. Yes that is right, right smack down the middle. Maybe they figured, to many drunks were hitting them on the sides of the roads and wanted to give the poles a fighting chance.

                      Kevin,

I rarely (if ever) have kits in stock or pre-cut, that's a lot of money to tie up in something that possibly may not sell for awhile. Nevertheless, kits usually ship out from me in five days or less so you're better off just dropping me a line to order one.

Since I was on my way up there anyhow, thought I could save on the shipping charges.

Oh..and then there's the fact I wanted to get my grubby little hands on one to satisfy that" instant gratification "

Please stand by tantrum in progress....:cry_smile

All of my prices include shipping, so that's the same either way. If you wanted to drop me a line today you'd have it in your hands by about Wednesday of next week, (I'm already mailing out about a half dozen kits Monday morning.)

The exit for the Fair Grounds is "Trimble Road" and the sign is now Green for the Richland County Fairgrounds. The telephone poles still go down the middle of the road though.

Thank You to everyone who stopped by to chat, by something, or to place an order. Although not the best year for Mansfield, it was still very productive.

The highlight for the weekend is when my friend, ever so casually, walked through the Arts and Crafts building looked down and saw a presentation sword that belonged to his G-G-Grandfather, a man he ddint even know had served in the war until last week. So what are the odds? Of course, he bought it, and best of all his wife didnt even threaten to kill him. The sword and its documentation were outstanding, and it has returned to the family. A True highlight for the weekend.
