  • Federal and Confederate Silk Housewives

    Silk and wool housewives await the embroidery of your initials. Each one is entirely handsewn of beautiful silk and covered in fine navy wool. Each stripe is individually sewn, and each star is embroidered in silk on silk.



    Federal housewife kit is reserved.






    Stocked with
    • 100% stearine candle
    • lump of raw beeswax wrapped in linen
    • paper backed tin, glass, and bone buttons in handsewn poke sack
    • patch fabric –FHW jean cloth, C. Childs satinette, FHW satinette, FHW wool flannel
    • needles
    • proper thread wrapped on cloth - black, brown, tan, blue, and off-white cotton thread
    • reproduction postage stamps on 100% rag paper
    • hanks of hemp twine in two sizes
    • wooden dice
    • tin of matches
    • tracts
    • handsewn poke sack in which to carry it all

    25% of proceeds will be donated through ACPP.
