Wow!!! That's the best news a guy could wake up to, well, unless the fiancee left him in the middle of the night... Wait... No, she's still here, but at least I've got some good news. Congratulations

Re: Exciting News From Civil War Historian Magazine

After having many conversations with Jason & Justin throughout this entire process, I believe that I was even more excited then they were, after just listening to a few of the ideas and future direction that they see themselves taking this magazine! I know that everyone that reads the CWH will be able to see the energy, excitement, and passion that they'll put into it!

It truly is an exciting time for them and now for us. I'm envious of them because they now get to work in a field that they both love, and in doing so get to converse with some of the finest individuals that I know who are reenactors, living historians, vendors, etc. on a daily basis!

It pleases me that CWH is in such capable hands! Both Justin and Jason's scholarship is top-notch, rivaled only by their practical experience and their love for the hobby. I am truly excited about the new direction, and will be subscribing!

Absolutely awesome, Brother Justin... always nice to see something owned by people who truly care.

My wife sent me copies of this magazine in Iraq and I kept one handy for when I got bored--- I didn't care that I had read it over and over again. For a moment, I could get lost in the hobby and thoughts of events I wanted to do when I got back to civilization. :D

                            Cheers -Johnny Lloyd

Re: Exciting News From Civil War Historian Magazine

I'm proud of you two for all the hard work you did to make this happen. I know it wasn't easy. The really hard work is yet to come, but it's in capable hands. To the rest of you here on the AC, they are going to need great articles. They don't need to be perfectly written, that's why they have an editor. They helped me with my article on the Vicksburg event last year. Some of you can write about an event, take pictures at the event, write about a Civil War item passed down from your ancestor, culture of the era, a museum you visited with photos they let you take, something that will help all of us progress in the hobby, etc. They need more articles from the east. Come on easterners! Tell us what's happening on your side of the mountains! I'm going to write an article on more cool stuff from the Steamboat Arabia and their museum. This is how we grow our side of the hobby. Send them an article boys!
