Re: Exciting News From Civil War Historian Magazine

Will articles previously submitted and slated for publication in upcoming issues still be published or do they need to be resubmitted?

Re: Exciting News From Civil War Historian Magazine

      Hey all -
I thought it might be important to point out that this venture is completely Justin and Jasons. The AC and the CWH are entirely separate.

They are both good friends of mine and obviously Justin plays an important role here on the AC as well, but the CWH is all theirs.

Those two have worked tirelessly over the last few months to put this deal together - to preserve this magazine for the hobby. I'm very proud of both of them. Pretty good businessmen as it turns out ... not exactly Scrooge and Marley yet, but give them time. :)

My re-subscription payment is already in via PayPal.

This is great news!! I thought the last glowing light in CW print was about to go out, but now it seems to be saved. I'm renewing my subscription very soon.

Will existing subscriptions be honored? Will you be sending out notices when it expires?

My subscription is still current I believe, but not sure for how long,

Well I guess this means that i'll be getting a subscription. Many people have already said alot about Adams and Justin. All I can say is we will be in very good hands with these two guys. We have been pards for a long time and I know that their love runs deep for C.W. history and the hobby. I also know it has been quite a process for them to gain ownership. I look forward to some great information from them and have a couple of article ideas to submit to them.

              Congrats boys and good luck.

Re: Exciting News From Civil War Historian Magazine

Thanks all for your well wishes and new subscriptions. I love the excitement and comments, but it's your subscriptions that will really keep this thing alive for all of us.

Today is a very busy day but I want to take a moment to answer of few of your questions on this thread.

                1. All current subscriptions will be honored by us regardless of who you paid at the time.

                2. There will be no interuption in your service. The July-August issue has already been sent to print and current subscribers should be seeing it before very long. This issue is sort of a joint effort between Ben Smith and myself as much of it was already completed when I started to take part in the editorial work.

                3. Those who subscribed when Ertel owned the magazine will recieve issues up to your expiration date. You will all get the exact number of issues you paid for.

                4. Articles previously submitted for publication need not be re-submitted. You may inquire, if you so desire, to ensure that yours was not lost in the transfer but I have a slew of them and am just now gettting to sort thought it all.

                Thanks all

Re: Exciting News From Civil War Historian Magazine

I am in the same boat as many others. I was just going to let my subscription run out. I became very dissapointed with CWH. The last issue I never even read, just went into the magazine rack. However, all the praise the others more knowledgeable then myself are giving, I might just hang around yet. Good luck with the magazine, gentlemen!

Re: Exciting News From Civil War Historian Magazine

For some reason I never subscribed to CWH.

I guess I was waiting for a real good reason.

I just sent my money and info via Paypal.

Best of luck and I can’t wait to get my first issue.

Re: Exciting News From Civil War Historian Magazine

Just wanted to clear up a little confucion that some have had. If you renew now, that will not cancel out the remainder of your current subscription, it will merely tack on an additional six issues at the Bully Buy rate.

This rate does have a shelf life--on 31 July the subscription rate will return to our regular rate so go ahead and extend your subscriptions now for the Bully Buy rate.
