    5 CS or Militia Rectangular Copper Belt plates (1840-1865)
    Copper belt plates a re hand cut, and finished, with tinned iron wire hooks soldered to the back. A very common plate as found by relic hunters on Civil War Battlefields. Plates of this type can be seen in Confederate Belt Buckles & Plates by Steve Mulinax , and other belt plate reference books.

    RIFLE SLINGS

    1 CSRS1 Confederate Cloth Sling for Rifle-Musket 1862-65)This is a one size fits all as per the original. It will fit Springfield, Mississippi Type, Enfield Rifles & Musketoon/Carbine (it is not made to fit the long Enfield). It is made of period machine sewn cotton heavy osnaberg (via the 1851 Wilson Mechanism) with iron adjusting hook hand sewn into place. The sling had a leather strip hand sewn in to place for the adjusting holes, with leather keepers. This is a common item in the CSA found from Tennessee to Virginia…………………………………………..…$25.

    CANTEEN SLINGS

    5 USCS1 U.S. Leather Canteen Sling, Russet Hand Sewn (1858-1872)
    Replacing the tin drum type canteen. The regulation canteen for the Federal Army just previous to the war became the Model 1858 Tin oblate spheroid canteen. This is the regulation canteen sling that was first issued with this canteen. Made of russet oiled leather5/8” wide and 72” long with a thing gauge iron roller buckle, hand sewn with leather keeper and a “chape” or “safe” sewn behind it………………………………………..$30

    The Confederate leather sling made of oiled rough side out leather, with brass buckle hand sewn into place. 1”wide. …………………………….$30.

    12 CSCS6 Confederate, Hughes Pendergrass & Snow Web Canteen Sling (1862-65)
    Made by the firm Hughes Pendergrass & Snow for the Confederate government. This sling is seen in Echoes of Glory CS & Silvia & O’Donnell’s Canteen book on C.S. Tin Drum & captured U.S. Canteens. It is made with a leather end piece with a buttonhole punched in it. Hand sewn to the webbing with a leather button sewn to the other end. Simple and effective……………………………….………………$25.

    1 CS Ambulance Corps Hat Bands
    These hat bands are copied from the one seen in Echoes of glory on page 127. These are period machine sewn. With “Ambulance Corps” Hand stenciled on the front, from a hand cut stencil.

    These are made to be put on the hat as per the originals were meant to be.……………………………..$25




    HAVERSACKS

    2 “Moses Alexander” Haversack with Correct Lead Filled Button (1861-65) Made By Martin Aksentowitz

    Carried by Pvt. M. Alexander from Alabama, this haversack measuring aprox. 11”X 11”, It is 100% Hand Sewn out of a heavy canvas. (It can be seen in Tenting Tonight, Time Life’s, The Civil War, Page 75). It is a strong and sturdy haversack of a common design ……………………$40 ea

    3 CSH1 “William Spinlin” Cotton Haversack, Period Machine Sewn (1862-65)
    The “Spinlin” Haversack resides in the Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond VA. It is an important haversack since it is entirely machine sewn out of Cotton Duck, most likely a mass-produced product during the war. It is a large haversack aprox. 10”tall X 13” wide and buttons close with a bone button…………………………………………………………..……$35 ea

    CAPS

    1 USFC3 U.S. Private or State issue Chasseur Cap (Kepi)The Chasseur cap is the quintessential cap. Rakish & fashionable, for that officer or natty private. It is just the cap you need. It was issued through some states to their troops as well as some Militia & Volunteer regiments Size 7 3/8……………………………………………..………..………..……$95

    1 CSFC4 Houston TX Depot Type Cap, Infantry Trimmed, with Chin Strap (1862-65)
    Made of Blue Gray Kersey with Branch of service band and hand glazed bill. This cap was made with, or with out a chin strap, and was lined in osnaberg with an oil cloth sweatband. Copied from the description layed out by Capt Wharton of the Houston Depot and from the research of Fred Adolphus, author of the Houston Clothing Depot article in the Company of Military Historian Journal, and from the conversations I have had with the author.

    The illustrations from “Desert to Bayou”, the Diary of Morgan Wolf Merick show this type cap . As well as original photos of caps that matches the description laid out by the depot report to the CS Congress of the caps & Clothing being produced at Houston Depot

    This same pattern and style was apparently made at Monroe Depot as well, with the depot records listing caps made of English goods with branch of service bands on the caps

    This is a very nice looking cap attributed to the Trans Mississippi Dept and the Deep South ,
    SIZE 7 3/8 ...........................................$95.



    JACKETS

    1 USSC6 US Volunteer Jacket, AKA Ohio Jacket, (1861-65)Original jacket was issued and used by a Pvt. Krause of Ohio (Unknown unit).

    This jacket can be seen in period photos of several different of men from Ohio, Illinois & Indiana. This jacket is thought to be a private purchase jacket or a contractor made jacket for state issue. The “Krause” Jacket is mainly period machine sewn with 9 hand sewn corded buttonholes. Sleeves are made with false pointed cuffs and epaulets. This jacket is lined as per the original in cotton denim with a Padded Chest Size 3 ...40 In Chest.………………$255.


    TROUSERS

    1 CIVT3 Blue Denim Work Trouser, period machine sewn.
    Trouser is made of heavy indigo dyed denim, with black enameled tin buttons. This particular set of trousers was made for fellows who require a trouser that is more generous fit. Trouser is made with the earlier style stove pipe leg, with a very generous fit. This set of trouser is perfect for those also looking for an over trouser to fit over a nicer set while working or in camp.

      Y'all outta try some of the 1847 suspenders. Mine came this week in the mail and I am very pleased with the work (of course) but the buckles are pretty neat. check em out!
