  • While Supplies Last: Interesting forage cap for sale

    Folks,

Up for auction at the Heritage Auction website is this fascinating Confederate forage cap. I had to see if I could make one and I think it came out wonderfully.

This repro is for sale, its a 7 1/4 and runs $125 Ppd. It fits more like a kepi that's about in inch taller than usual kepis. Its a really neat cap, when I can get to it, I'd like to make more of them.

The cap comes with a date/research sheet I made up.

If you are interested, email me at cwkepi@earthlink.net

        Fellas,

I just received this cap from Greg and it is outstanding in pattern, materials, and construction. The research sheet that came with the cap (included in photos) is a nice touch. This is yet another top notch clone from the best cap maker around. If Greg decides to do a run of these, don't hesitate!

        cheers

This is a really neat cap. North Carolina did some really interesting headgear. (assuming NC did this one which I think it did).

I am taking orders for this cap.

                Greg,
just got the re sized kepi today. outstanding as is the norm. I think I'm going to wear it for Sharpsburg, if I can get some fade on it.

I received my cap today and I must say that it is amazing. Mr. Starbuck has again outdone himself with the detail put into his work. This is by far the best cap I have ever owned.

                      Rob,

Yes, it is so well done. I cannot wait to wear it.

Maybe we should do rock-paper-scissors with Bryant to see who gets to wear it at Sharpsburg.

Why none of these in larger sizes for those of us with larger brain capacity? Huh?
