I have for sale one Anderson kepi. I don't make this cap too often, it has an unusual construction which is difficult to do right.
The reproduction is made of a gray satinet that has the slightest brown tint to it. It is fully lined (as I believe the original was) with a similar floral print pattern. It has eagle buttons like the original.
The visor, chinstrap, and sweatband are all tarred cloth. A sheet with details and photos of the original comes with the repro.
Robert C. Anderson (color sergeant) was KIA at Chickamauga and this cap was picked up on the battlefield.
This repro is sized 7 1/2 and is $125 Postage Paid.
If you are interested, email me at cwkepi@earthlink.net
Thanks,
Greg Starbuck
