As for originals, in the Alabama State Capitol there is a small area with some original items and one of them is a blanket that when I first saw it i thought looked just like the Federal so called "emergency blanket" the tan one with the stripe on each end. The color is more brown then tan. So perhaps this was a CS blanket?
There also is an excellent wooden canteen with the blanket on display. I had photos, I shall have to go back and look again.

Thanks for your efforts in getting the blanket made! I know you went to considerable effort and expense to make it happen, and we should all be appreciative of that. I got my blanket a few weeks ago from our company captain who placed the order, and it is fantastic! I'm sure it will serve well for years to come!
