South Union Mills is now offering two new items. The first, called "Chester County, Pennsylvania Socks" come from a broadside printed giving instructions for the citizens of Chester County to make these socks for the Union troops. They are a unique sock in that they are solid blue with red/white/blue bands on top, for that "patriotic" appearance. They are available for $35.00 per pair and I currently have about 15 pair made up, so grab some while you can.
Also new is the "John Cole" mitten, based from an original pair that were id'd to John Cole, 3rd New Hampshire Infantry. As you can see in the picture, they are a unique item as well and not your commonly knitted mitten. These are available for $34.95 per pair and are also being made in limited quantities.
