This blanket is a faithful reproduction in the style of a blanket that was picked up on the Pea Ridge, Arkansas, battlefield in 1862 and brought home by a Federal soldier. This blanket is being offered in natural white with dark brown stripes and measures 77 wide and 79 long. This blanket is composed of two panels, just as the original, and the two panels are hand sewn together to form the blanket. The edges are hand sewn in a whipstitch for the most authentic finish. Woven of wool and cotton in a "jeans" weave (but has a softer hand than jeans and isn't scratchy), this blanket is a great mid weight blanket for use in all but the coldest of weather. A great reproduction that I've been waiting a while for, so don't miss the opportunity to own one!
This blanket is heavier in weight than the original blanket in order to make it a practical use blanket.
