We are looking for people to be CWDD Coffee Grinders. What is that? Those are people who join us on Patreon and make at least the smallest monthly financial commitment to help fund episodes and historic preservation.
Why did we name it “Coffee Grinders?”
Beyond the historic connotation, the base level of support we’ve set up on Patreon is $3.00 per month. Since we air two episodes a month, your support equals $1.50 per episode – or a cup of regular coffee per episode. (If you want to support us with the fancy, high end coffee shop pricing – there are two other support levels.) Plus, we ran a poll for the name with the current Pareon community and this was the winner!
What do you get?
You get access to the growing Patreon CWDD community. This includes access to a chat feed, Patreon only extra videos, and voting for historic preservation donations. You can see part of this content now. Go look at (add website here). We upload extra videos that are of a smaller, more targeted nature for our Patrons from time to time. We just uploaded one that is a follow up to our episode on Cartridge Box 101 set up. In this case, we’re leaving the episode public so you can look and see what sort of stuff we put as extra features on Patreon. Have a look and see about the value for yourself.
Why is historic preservation mentioned?
We have two goals listed on our Patreon page. In both cases, our company will commit regular funds to historic preservation when we reach the goal. We are thrilled that folks have come forward and supported our work! We are close to the first fundraising goal which will trigger regular donations to preservation, and the Patrons will get to vote on where that money goes specifically.
