Available in a small run of these unique Michigan Caps reproduced from extensive research. Stitched using maroon wool felt which was meticulously hunted for over a year and finally located from Spain. This perfect felt color is no longer being produced by the manufacturer. The eye-catching tassels are created using the remaining stock of Terre Hood Biederman's hand-dyed indigo wool yarn.
10% proceeds of each Michigan Cap is donated to Historic Fort Wayne in Detroit, Michigan. https://www.historicfortwaynecoalition.com
Our Facebook page has an informative article using many documented photographs and is written on the history of these caps worn during the Civil War. https://facebook.com/PreservationParcels/
