Civil War Digital Digest wants to celebrate and make a few announcements to the Authentic Campaigner community! What do we want to celebrate?
WE HIT THE SECOND GOAL! We had a goal set of $500 per month in support from viewers through Patreon. Reaching that level not only means the world to us but also means we start contributing 20% of those Patreon dollars to historic preservation. Thank you to the members of the CWDD Coffee Grinders (our Patrons) for their support on Patreon. WOW!
What's next? Well, we needed a new goal and the next goal could be a reach, but it will make an impact that matches. What is it?
Our next funding goal is to cross the $1,000 per month level on Patreon. Here's what happens when we get there:
"Reaching this goal will allow contracting crew to assist in production and editing. This will contribute greatly to the growth and sustainability of Civil War Digital Digest. When this goal is reached, we will continue to give 15% of our Patron’s support to historic preservation. We will also release a bonus episode each quarter as a thank you. That means four more episodes of great Civil War history and education per year! In addition, all Patrons will get a one-week preview of the bonus episodes before general release."
Thanks to those of you who have helped us over on Patreon so far! Thanks to those of you who have told a friend about an episode, hit like, subscribed on YouTube, or shared our episodes. You are all part of bringing this good Civil War content to life!
It’s easy for you to know how to support an equipment approved vendor. Let us explain how you can support us.
First, watch the episodes that interest you. When you do, it helps us if you let them run to the end, maybe even click on an ad that might interest you! If you enjoyed the episode, hit the like button on YouTube.
Second, tell someone about us. We believe that our base of living historians is the strongest voice for American Civil War history in the nation today! Please use that voice. The Digest is growing and we want to reach a lot more people than current living historians. Do you know a history teacher? Please tell them about us. How about a history buff who will never take the field with us? Same thing.
Finally, your financial support directly helps impact historic preservation efforts and us! If you are enjoying the value you are receiving consider becoming a Patron Coffee Grinder of CWDD. Patreon becomes a subscription service for people who support us. There are ranges of levels of monthly support you can choose from. The lowest tier equates to buying us a cup of coffee (not the frilly stuff, just plain, black coffee) per episode. When we cross fundraising milestones there, we’ve set up regular contributions to historic preservation. Patreon members also get access to a few extra videos made especially for them.
