It's donation time! Civil War Digital Digest is proud to announce our CWDD Coffee Grinders have chosen to support Fort McKavett State Historic Site and the work of Cody Mobley and his dedicated team. When asked how we could help, Cody wrote:
"Right now our big project that we are working on is completing the furnishings in Barracks #4. This barracks was completed by Co. B, 8th Infantry in early 1853 and was used during the antebellum, Civil War POW camp period, and postbellum eras of the fort. We have set the southern room and NCO quarters up as it would have been during the antebellum period, the middle room as it would have been ca. 1874, and the north room we are going to revert back to commissary storage as it was throughout all periods of use."
We sent $354.22 to support this effort!
