  • Retail Store: Grand Opening Announcement!

    Attention all AC Forum Members,
We are proud to announce that our new retail location will celebrate it’s grand opening this weekend! You’ll find everything for your reenacting needs at our new retail store! Located in the Jennie Wade Birthplace at 242 Baltimore Street in historic Gettysburg, we are proud to offer the most authentic and comprehensive selection of reproduction goods for our customers.

The caliber of vendors housing products under one roof is unprecedented. In addition to CJ Daley Historical Reproductions, the list of other vendors include Corner Clothiers, Wooded Hamlet, LD Haning, Greg Starbuck, Joel Bohy, Dog River Glassworks, Chris Semanick, Sullivan Press, Orchard Hill, Cunningham Tinware (and a few others to be named soon)

Most importantly, we have worked with each vendor to ensure that the prices on our shelves are the same as if you bought directly from the vendor. Top quality goods at ‘factory direct’ prices!

To learn more about our store (including maps, directions and business hours),
please click on the this link and take a virtual tour of the new location:

Hello all, this is my first post on the forum.
Wow Chris! Great to see there's going to be so much quality gear in one place to see and buy, and that you've found a place to set up. Wish I could be there for your opening this weekend, but I will definitely be there in October to say hey. Good luck and best wishes from way up north.

Chris, good luck to you and your fellow vendors. A Major League 'Authentic' Goods store right in the middle of all that...mmm, well crap. I will see you up there the weekend of Oct. 2 when we go up there for our 'Adopt a Position' weekend maintaining our Delaware monuments....

Well, it's actually been fun over the last month as Kara, Brian and I have put the store together. Every night the ghost tours stop at the house and tell some wild story about Jennie Wade as we were painting and hammering. Then they'd flash lights into the windows to catch a glimpse of us working and tell and even crazier story about why we were there and what we were doing. :tounge_sm

However, there are some quality tours popping up in town that explore the history of the citizens of Gettysburg (while they were still in earthly form) and those historic tours are beginning to take form as tourists usually are looking for an alternative to the haunted tales by the second night in town.

Thanks to everyone who passed along well wishes via e-mail and phone. We hope you can stop by this Saturday night for our Grand Opening Party, but if not, maybe the next time you are in HAUNTED GETTYSBURG you'll give us a shout!

                Chris,

                Great shop!!

I had to go up and check it out on the first day and as expected some money flew out of my wallet to buy a much needed item.

I can forsee myself (and probably others) spending a great deal of overtime pay at your shop. Being only 10 miles north of me it is nice to have quality goods at good prices right at my doorstep.

                Keep up the good work!!!

Thanks Brian, sorry I didn't get to spend more time with you, but it was a crazy evening. Tim Welch and I just got back to the house and are ready to crash.

Thanks to everyone who came, we appreciate you all taking the time to visit us this weekend and we really hope you liked the store. It meant so much to me to see you all tonight! I hope to get some pics of the grand opening up on the website or in this thread soon.

PS Special thanks to my wife who coordinated the catering despite being 9 months pregnant! Way to go Jenn!
