  • Goods at Shaker Village this weekend

If I was organized and actually owned a camera, I'd have pictures of this stuff. I am not, and don't, so you'll have to see for your own self.

Available this weekend at Shaker Village, at the fine establishment of Ezra Barnhouse:

    Knitted sleeping hats
    Knitted tams
    Knitted gloves
Knitted socks (if Sister actually gets the package here)

All wool, all hand knit, all period dyes. All at $65.

And, fresh from the dyepot (in some cases still dripping on my porch and not yet skeined), all wool yarns in sport and fingering weights, 2 ply and singles, to include:
    cochineal orange
    cochineal/logwood rose
    cochineal maroon
    fustic brown
    indigo blue
    cutch brown

And some 'hi-twist' yarns--hard wearing yarns excellent for gloves and other rough outer wear in:
    brazilwood orange
    indigo/fustic lime green
    indigo blue, light and medium
    walnut brown, light and dark

Prices from $6 per 100 yard skein

I'll be on the place somewhere, likely on a porch or under a tree, teaching a few folks how to knit. I should be easier to find than usual, as the Doc has made me promise to nail myself to a chair for the next several weeks..........

Yassir, I used to be Mrs. Lawson. I still run period dyepots, knit stuff, and cause trouble.
