Friends,
Just in time for the upcoming Chickamauga living history and your Army of the Tennessee impression, I am offering an EXTREMELY limited run of French blue cotton jeancloth CS trousers.
Here's a simple break-down of features that these trousers will have, to avoid my typically prolonged explainations!
- French blue on tan cotton jeancloth from Family Heirloom Weavers with osnaburg linings and pockets. This is the last of this cloth that Pat will ever weave!
- Common civilian style pattern documented to CS use both east and west.
- "Low" mule-ear pockets similar to those found on the "Mansfield" trousers....not the angular "flap" type as found on many reproductions.
- All exterior and interior stitching worked by hand with logwood dyed cotton thread.
- Bone buttons on both the fly and waistband, and rear adjustment belts with Japanned metal prong buckle.
Did I say "extremely limited?" I currently have only TWO waist size 37's and ONE waist size 39 cut and ready to sew, with just enough fabric left for one, maybe two more pairs for custom order. I should note here that these are not just intended for exclusive AOT use at Chickamauga; they can be used for a myriad of other Confederate impressions, both east and west, which span a relatively wide time period.
The price per pair of trousers will be only $145 (shipping included), taking into consideration the affordability of the cotton jeancloth from which they are made. Delivery per pair will be prompt (guaranteed before September 15th), allowing enough time for you to recieve them before Chickamauga.
All interested parties may contact me directly at floatingeyeofdeath@netzero.net or through private messages here on the AC, but please try to keep those to a minimum! If you are interested in a size other than what is currently on-hand, let me know and I will see what I can do for you!
Thank you, and I look forward to your patronage!
