What part of the link is it on... looked under CS Jackets... I'm dumb and not seein' it, unless it isn't labeled such... are you referring to the 6-button jacket? Neill Rose posted on here an excellent Old South period image and what he believes is a "Charleston Depot" jacket...

        Don,

I'd love to see a quality reproduction of an imported French Knapsack or the CS copy of one.

        Thanks, Garrett

          Hi Garrett,

Don already makes a beautiful French knapsack he copied from an original. I have one and it is by far my favorite pack.

Don makes a lot of gear that isn't listed on his site. He is a first rate craftsman for sure.

              Folks,

Wanted to address a couple of items. First (for Johnny), there isn't a derth of information at all, you just have to go look for it! Just because everything isn't on the computer doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I mean, geez, I've got about every early war contractors' name, products, letterhead, etc. Not rocket science; just go to the SC Department of Archives and History. Secondly, I haven't seen an accurate copy of a Charleston depot jacket yet, save one, by Neil Sexton. OK, everyone can shoot me now for that comment!

Thank you for your input so far( Keep em' comming!)

I will be adding to the catalogue the following so far, ( have made many of these items as custom work for folks)

                CS Flys

                NC State Jacket

                Charleston jacket

A new pattern of NY State Cap

US Dress Coats, I am in the process of getting things tied down to make 2 different US Enlisted frocks with shoulder scales included. I will be producing the first one for filed trial this next month.

One SA Type totally hand sewn and one contract type with large amounts of period machine sewin gto keep the cost down

I do make English Cap boxes ( Both types in whire buff or Black Bridal) I am also now making the Buckle Adjust type sling for the British rifles and rifle muskets ( Thank you to Craig Barry for his help & corrispondence).

Don, One thing that is not authentically reproduced hardly at all is a Carbine Sling. I know of no vendor besides Doug Kidd that has it in a catalog and there are only a few others that make them custom that I know of.

I think some new jackets would be nice, that is reproductions of surviving examples. The Colombus Depots, RD's, Tait, Mystery, and Dept. of Alabama are fairly well represented out there. Some of the "Odd-Ball" stuff would be cool.
