  • What Items would you like to see made?

    Hi All,

I know I haven't been very active on the AC. ( I have been keeping my head down sewing and filling orders)

I wanted to see, and ask What Items would you like to see me add to my catalogue as regular items?

I look forward to reading what you have to say,

    All the very best

How about the Federal enlisted frock coat? We need more sources for those, and I know that you can make a darn good frock coat, I've seen one.

      Don-

Can you make an Enfield cartridge box/frog/scabbard/ball bag etc.? These seem to be a bit underrepresented in the hobby based upon my readings as of late.

      Thanks - Johnny

I second that! Sources for quality frock coats are hard to find.

            Don,

I've seen several examples of your products made of painted/enamalled cloth. I've been puzzled as to why you haven't offerred waterproof covers for military caps.

How about painted silk/linen cap covers?

              Don,

If I had a vote I would like to see some pre-war uniforms such as US Mexican War. That would fill a void for us out west!

I third the nomination for a CS tent fly! It wouldn't hurt to see NC depot jacket. There really aren't that many places that offer them.

Perhaps the single most under represented anything is CS tentage - and with lots of orders and references to so many tent fly's to so many soldiers, put me down for one.

In fact, nobody makes a US QM spec tent fly either!!!

What about expanding your line of Horter, Magee and George accounterments? The belt I ordered from you a few months back is absolutely oustanding. Of course, some good pre-War Regular Army equipage would be nice, too. :D

I would also add that nobody is producing a Charleston Depot jacket. I'm kinda' surprised that Neil Rose (Mr. blue-grey kersey) hasn't said anything about that.

                              Sir,

I second that... Charleston "depot" jackets, which I have tried looking for a pattern... seem to not exist as repros... may we remedy this? I went to academy/college there and there seems to me a dearth of information about goods beng produced in this area during the period.
Heck, it's where the durn war started...?
