    Folks,

I am pleased to announce that we now have in stock several caps from Tyler Putman of Superior Cap Co. Tyler apprenticed with Mike Stiles, master cap maker and is now producing some of the finest federal caps I have ever seen!

These caps are in stock and ready to go. As Tyler is a full time student and supply with always be sporadic I suggest you get these while they last! The following sizes are in stock:

    7 1/8
    7 1/4
    7 3/8
    7 1/2

The caps are made from fine Hainsworth broadcloth, imported from England, with enameled visors, black polished cotton lining, and fine leather sweatbands with cross hatch embossing (a feature seen in some form on most originals but rarely reproduced!)

These caps are available, in stock, and ready to ship for $95.00 Order today!

    Dang I can't resist!!!

Those are outstanding caps! Put me down for one next month after Christmas. The two things that really make a good Union impression is a decent coat and hat. I have found the forage cap to be very versatile and warm, I also like the fit and style.

    I really like the liner.

Re: New US Caps at W, W, & Co!!!

          Scott,

I'm hoping to convince him to branch out, but Tyler is going about it the right way and has been waiting to perfect his type I forage cap before he begins a new type of project.

Let me reiterate how excited I am to be offering these caps. Tyler is a young man with a great deal of promise and I have been carrying his other wares for many years now (he's always made my housewives.) I enjoyed carrying Mike Stiles' caps for several years, and am happy to be carrying them once again in another way.

Tyler is truly the next generation of quality makers, and based on what I've seen of his work so far he will be producing top quality reproductions for many years to come. The bottom line is grab one while you can, and you can say that you were one of the first! :wink_smil
