I am pleased to announce that we have the drum style filter canteen made by Mr. George MacGillis in stock (and more coming) and ready to offer to the public! These canteens are a work of art and have alot of work that goes into each one. The canteen has a very fine brass filter inside that enables the drinker to filter the water that was put into the canteen before drinking. The small spout has a tube that goes into the screen filter, and the filter covers half of the canteen. These filters aren't just for show, they work! Mr. MacGillis patterned this canteen from an original he researched. These canteens are priced at $98 each and are available for a limited time! Please order by emailing carterandjasper@yahoo.com. I can accept payment through check, money order, or paypal (paypal address is mcutley@yahoo.com). Thank you and I look forward to hearing from many of you!

Re: Drum Style Filter Canteens Now Available!!
I recieved mine today and was very impressed. Excellent workmanship and very durable. It is heavy enough to be used as a weapon if we run out of ammunition on the cannon so it will take some abuse. If you are getting one of these you will need corks and a sling. The sling loops measure 1 1/4". Fortunately I had some webbing that width laying around and made a sling. Looks good. Will use it this weekend at Port Hudson. Thanks Chris and George for bringing this to us.Timothy J. Koehn

Re: Drum Style Filter Canteens Now Available!!
Tim,
Thanks for the comments. I still have some of these available. The run is being limited to 15 canteens, and several of them have already gone out the door. There won't be any available after they run out as the components used in making them have become unavailable.
Tim, I just got them when I sent yours out, and didn't have the corks in it. The next ones will have the corks, I've had the time to get them! Thanks again.Chris Utley
