I just received a type II US forage cap. The only thing better than the fast shipping is the quality!
    Awesome hat!!!

I've gotten a few items from them.Turnover time is pretty quick and their stuff is top notch. Their customer service is great, I've never contacted them without hearing back within 24hrs. Definately my favorite uniform source.

I have a CS frock from Dan, and while deciding on the material and other features, Dan was with me every step of the way. I am still very happy with my frock, nearly four years later.

All I can say is this simple FACT. Wambaugh, White, & Company conducts their business practices in a way that ALL corporations, businesses, and any one wanting to sell to the public should conduct them selfs.I'm not saying that they are the second coming of Jesus, but Every question asked either by phone, this website or by e-mail has been answered in a courteous and professional way. I always come away feeling that they really appreciate the business and will even go above and beyond what would normally be expected. Matter of fact, there are several if not many "approved vendors" that are MUCH better to deal with because of their honesty and pride in what they do, than in our daily transactions with in our communities. Over the years those qualities demonstrated by these guys (gals) in this hobby have become scarce instead of the norm as they were in days gone by. Like veterans, a kind word of encouragemnet and appreciation goes a long way. We should be greatful for W.W.&C. and others for their dedication and contabutions that allow us to honor the memories of those who marched before. Most Sincerely,

Just received my standard grade contract blouse. I can assure you it is anything but standard. Actually, I believe Dan has set the standard with this one. Also received a type I forage cap and an unbelievable pair of J.T Martin trousers. All truly first rate.

                Re: Wambaugh, White, & Company

I just got a museum grade contract blouse a couple weeks ago and it is awesome. Really nice, fairly lightweight but tightly knit flannel w/ diagonal weave (not thick, "horse blanket material" too often seen), attractive logwood thread stitching, and overall comfortable, correct, somewhat shapeless (i.e. a sack) fit. One of the things that sets W&W's tailoring apart from others in the business is that the work isn't [I]too[I] perfect...little imperfections like slightly crooked stitching really add to the authentic look. Lastly, the customer servive is second to none! I ordered my coat on a Saturday over the phone and it was on my doorstep Tuesday morning. I can't wait for my private purchase forage cap to arrive!!

                  Re: Wambaugh, White, & Company

                  Hello all,
I just purchased the "private purchase" forage cap from W.W.&Co. made by Mike Anderson, thought I'd share my thoughts and some pictures. In my humble opinion, this is a very nice, well made, accurate hat. I compared the hat with a very similar hat seen here:

(last cap at the bottom of the page "Civil War Officers Forage Cap
w/ Staff Buttons," Note: hat above this one has many similarities as well).
The dimensions, and overall look of the two caps is almost identical. Slight differences: Anderson cap has eagle "I" buttons not staff, rise of crown is about 1/2 higher in front and back.
Bill and sweat band measured within 1/8" of what was given for the original. The inside of the repro and original display distinctive black diamond quilted liner. Hand-enameling and binding of bill looks to be dead-on. Wool body on Anderson's cap is finely woven, lightweight, and displays a slight diagonal weave.
This hat is not the same as earlier Anderson caps that some have said had issues with the construction (see this thread: http://www.authentic-campaigner.com/...son+forage+cap), it is a top notch cap at a good price ($105 shipped)
                  ....my 2 cents,
