I ordered a Flat top Bowler from Mr. Bender on a Tuesday, I was able to get it out of the mail on that following Saturday in time for a muster. A big thanks to him. It is definitely easy to appreciate customer service like that.

I just recieved a flat top crown from Mr. Bender today. I recomend Tim Bender to anyone looking for a top quality hat. He is extremly easy, and nice to do business with. Plus I recieved the hat about a week after I ordered it.

A question for all those who have ordered hats by phone/mail/internet...how did you decide on a style? Whenever I've bought a hat in person (both modern and ACW) I've had to try on several different styles before finding one that has the "look" I want. I want a new hat, and with your ringing endorsements of Mr. Bender's hats (as well as having seen and been impressed by several), I'd like to order one, but without being able to see how they look on me I'm having a very hard time picking! Advice, please!

I chose the style I wanted because, I had tried one of my buddy's hats on that is similar to it. I knew how I would look in a flat crown, and just by seeing the pictures on his web page. When I recieved my hat from Mr. Bender it was just like I had pictured it. If you have any questions he will glady answer them and give you his opinion. He his very easy to work with. You won't be disapointed.

I just wanted to come back to this thread and post a follow-up. I called Mr. Bender and placed an order in late August, received it 4 days later. It's a great hat; looks so nice I almost hesitated to wear it, but then I put it on and found that it fit perfectly and was nicely comfortable. Chalk me up as another fan!

Wanted to brag on Mr. Bender. I ordered a medium crown bowler and recieved it in exactly the amount of time that he said it would take! Outstanding service and I love the hat. I plan on wearing it to work tomorrow lol!

I ordered my Hardee hat with stretcher for bummers last weekend and got it in the mail Wednesday! The hat is well-made and fits just right. I could not have asked for a better experience!

Just got in my Christmas present from Tim today. I ordered a Pecan colored Medium crown bowler.

Tim gave an ETA of about 10 days, and sure enough it arrived on time and well boxed to protect it.

I bought a hat from Tim back at 2000 Brandywine reenactment and that hat is still holding up after all these years of use/abuse. I am pleased with his work and customer service.

I will add my 2 cents to this discussion. I ordered my black Arabian hat a little over a week ago. I just received in the mail well packed and exactly the style and fit I was after. I know were I'm going in the future for all my hat needs.

Hello all,

I must say both myself and my brother ordered the standard Hardee from Tim Bender. AMAZING hats (and i'm quite the 'hat-o-phile' within our unit). Suffice to say we no longer recommend anyone else to our fresh fish and at least 3 more have surfaced in our ranks since May '08.

Superb quality, speedy delivery and top notch customer service. And the shipping to England wasnt too bad either!!

I received an 1858 dress hat from Tim last week. From the time I ordered it to the date it arrived was only 7 days!! He was very helpful with all my questions. The finished product came out amazing. Anyone looking for headgear should use Tim Bender.

I received my Brand new 1858 Dress hat in less than two weeks. Tim got the fit perfect as if I went to order my hat in person. He is the go to hat guy and I will be a forever loyal customer. Thanks Tim!
