  • Wambaugh Columbus Depot Jacket

I have come to expect high quality clothing from Dan, but he really outdid himself on the Columbus Depot Jacket I just received from him. It is simply awesome. Thanx Dan!

I have to agree. I received one of these last year as well as one of his frock coats and both are great. I have been extremely impressed with WW&Co's customer service and quality of goods. I have tried a few of his kits and the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

      Thanks guys!

I guess now is as good a time as any to tip my hand on a little secret...The jeancloth we have been using for our CD jackets for about a year now is the culmination of the first joint project of Ben Tart and Family Heirloom Weavers. FHW wove the fabric and Ben dyed it. It has been compared side by side with the original Woodward jacket and deemed "the best ever reproduced." We have not yet advertised this material since we have been hoping for some time to receive a batch of indigo dyed kersey so that we could begin offering two types of CS jackets, much like our blouses, in standard and museum grade. Nevertheless, all of our jackets are made from this new custom jean that is truly some of the most awesome material ever produced, and ONLY available four our CD jackets!

      Best,

I recently received this superb copy of the Woodward CD jacket from Dan with the new Ben Tart sumac dyed FHW jean (I believe it's slightly darker than the last material to look at - but will still fade after a period of time in the sun); and FHW indigo dyed trim. It 's an awesome jacket, the service and communication was also excellent - thanks Dan!

I've attached some pictures for your viewing pleasure! :)

It's been a while since I looked at the Woodward, in fact about a decade, but I remember the lining being similar to drill cloth in weight. I used to own some very detailed hard copy pictures of it, the Weller vest, the Anderson cap and the Officers jacket that they had in storage in Franfort, but they seem to have gone by the weighside. What is the lining pictured?
