  • Moving to Australia sale!

The first week in June I will be relocating to Brisbane, Australia for a year. In order to help pay for this trip, I'm needing to sell off a bunch of gear and clothing. The items that I'm selling are mine. I either made it for myself, made it to sell, or someone else made it and I have worn it. The items that I'm going to sell are new, like new, and used. Some items will be one-of-a-kind, and other items are available by other makers. I need to move these items and raise much needed income. I'm not selling these items because I want to, but because I have to. I don't know how long it will take for me to find work when I get to Brisbane, etc.

Rather than trying to list each thing that I am selling, and then trying to post pictures of each item, I will be providing you with a link to a Google photo page. On this page you can see the items that I have for sale.

Check back often, as each day I might be adding new clothing and gear as I go through my closet and tubs.

Follow this link to view the items that I am selling to help get me to Australia:

    Cheers!

Note: Descriptions, sizes and prices are mentioned as picture captions.

    Prices do not include shipping.

Also, please write directly to me if you are interested in any of the items that I have posted now, or will post in the future. It will be much easier and timely if I get a word from you in my email inbox, rather than always having to check the A-C.

    Write to me at; nbclark78@gmail.com

    Thanks

New items added today. Help a vetern pard out in his rare chance to live in Australia for a year. These items are being sold because of necessity, not from lack of want or use. To sell them is bad, but to not sell them would be detrimental! Help a 16 year veteran of this hobby out.

      Thanks,

I just got the Duvall Shirt from Nic. He has some good stuff and if he made it, he spends a lot of time on the smaller details. Case in point: the buttons on the duvall shirt which he matched.
I've seen a couple of his jackets too. I know for a fact he spent lots of time on the Arkansas Jacket which is excellent in cut and etc. Just I'm too small for it. About four years ago he made me one of those cloth hats. I would have worn it for a second time at into the piney woods but the men threatened to mutiny because they didn't think it was becoming of an officer. Regardless its comfortable and hard to beat in some of the late war stuff I do.
If you want a quick turn around Nic makes good stuff.

Hey Frank, thanks for the kind words. :)

And yes folks, I do spend lots of time working on the things that I make. The hand quilting in the Ft. Smith inspired Arkansas jacket took me several days of doing just that quilting by hand. With cloth hats it takes me about 20 hours, just for your info. Same as with all of us who make gear and clothing for sale; if we were to pay ourselves a decent hourly rate, no one could afford this stuff. I make this stuff because I enjoy making the odd and different. There's no need for another maker of a Richmond Depot. I'll be that guy that makes the Duvall battleshirt, or that jacket worn by that soldier in that photo in that museum, etc.

Thank you to Frank, and all the others in the recent and distant past who have felt that my work was worth their hard earned money. I still have items for sale to help raise the needed funds for my move to Australia. Should have some new items posted within the week.

I wish that Port Hudson jacket was my size! It looks amazing.

Prices reduced; I've got to sell this stuff

I have lowered the prices on the current items still for sale. I will be adding more clothing and maybe some gear in the next week. I also have lots of fabric that I'm needing to get rid of, also. This should all be posted in the next week. I have five weeks before I leave, and I'm needing to sell it all.

Lots of fabrics added to the must sell list

I have just posted a bunch of fabrics that I'm needing to sell off. Some peices are in whole yards, other pieces are remnants. I listed fabrics that are whole enough to where you can still use them for some project, whether that's an entire shirt or dress, or just lining in your new kepi, etc.

Too see the fabric that I'm selling, visit this link: http://picasaweb.google.com/nbclark7...AustraliaSale#

I leave in less than 5 weeks; it all has to go. Still more items will be added in the coming days. If you really like an item, we can talk and negotiate, if within reason.

                            Re: Moving to Australia sale!

                            Guys,

I will not break up, or cut up any of the fabric. That is, if I'm selling 6 yards of a certain fabric, I will not cut you off one yard, etc. I have neither the time nor the patience to get into the fabric business. Buyer must purchase all of the fabric of a particular kind, not only part of it.

                            Thanks,
                            Nic Clark

Saw your note about the color orange and its use in the period. Actually, I love those blanket pants, and I'm sure others do too. I would jump on them, but even though I'm aggressively pursuing weight loss, a 32 waist is just a little too tight for comfort.
