  • Capt. George Bryan's RD II by Wambaugh

This past week I received a museum grade RD II of EAC that was copied from the jacket worn by Captain George Bryan. The quality of the cloth and workmanship is outstanding. This is the fourth jacket/coat that I have purchased from Dan Wambaugh, and the common "thread" that runs through all of them is Dan's superior talent for making a museum grade jacket/coat and customer service. On Saturday, April 18th, I had the pleasure of wearing the Bryan RD II at a presentation at the new Civil War Museum in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The jacket received serious examination from some of the ONV pards who participated in the event. The jacket also received noteworthy comments from the museum's curator. Even the mayor of Galena IL, Grant's home town, commented about the outstanding quality of the jacket and asked where I got it.
Again, Dan Wambaugh is top notch. I am looking forward to purchasing another jacket from him in the future. He has always delivered a great product and has always delivered it on schedule.
    Regards,

    Dan,

You flatter me, and your kind words are very much appreciated. A large share of the credit for my reproduction of this jacket is due to Ben Tart. Not only did Ben make the superb English Army Cloth I used, but he developed the top of the line script I buttons which are easily the best reproduction CS buttons available today. He even helped with advice and research on the original jacket, as it is in the collection of the museum he works at. Ben has been providing this hobby with some of the best materials out there for nearly twenty years and I have been fortunate to work with him for over a decade.

I enjoy making these jackets very much. It is one of the few CS items for which we can offer a true "museum grade" reproduction for a relatively low price.

In case you all were interested, here is a shot of the jacket in question:

    Best Regards,
