  • Nick Duvall

Just received my Confederate split canteen sling from Nick Duvall today. It's spot-on with the one shown on Jim Mayo's CW Show and Tell website, even down to the sword belt stud.

Nick has always been great in humoring an old man's request for various and sundry period leather items-- a period authentic dog collar as shown on a thread a few months ago (for my period authentic Pug who was a gift to my uncle, the Governor, from Queen Victoria), to my glasses case that I bring to every event due to my recent myopia.

He's the real deal for just about any leather item and amazing turn-around times.

    Re: Nick Duvall

I live on the left coast so my access to period artifacts is severly limited. I'm highly reliant on what the sutlers offer as being researched. I went through a couple of slings for my Springfield before I ordered one from Nick. I needed it to be black for my impression. Nick had it done and shipped within a week. It is the first of the three slings to operate correctly in that the sliding loop stays where I put it. I've had it to several events and I remove the barrel from my musket after each event to give a thorough cleaning so the sliding loop gets more exercise on my musket then others. His slings are not inexpensive but you truely get what you pay for. I'm satisfied with his work and service.

I received today my CS waistbelt with snake tongue buckle from Duvall and it is simply superb! His attention to detail, not to mention customer service, is second to none!

Received my Snake buckle 'CS' belt for Christmas, I own several of Nick's Cartridge box sets and as with them the belt is first rate, Nick is a great guy and answers any question you may have, just ordered another Cartridge box taking advantage of his 'Birthday' deal.

          Re: Nick Duvall

Reviving an old thread, I received what's turning into my annual order from Nick today, a roller buckle belt and two knapsack straps. Excellent craftsmanship as always, and I got the order within three weeks of placing it, maybe a little less. Nick, thanks again for putting forth an excellent product.
