Hello All,
I just would like to post that I received my order from Jan Berger a few days ago and couldn't be more pleased! I ordered a pair of his hand sewn welted shoes and a .58 cal. cartridge box.
The box looks on par with all the originals I've seen, not too perfect but not a piece of crap at all. Natural dyes and oil finishes, correct weights of leather, and of course all the hardware was correct.
The shoes are my favorite, they fit very well and I'm impressed with the craftsmanship. They are entirely hand sewn, and the shape is perfect. As with all his products he uses period construction techniques and materials. I can honestly say that I've never seen better reproduction shoes. Below is his web site and a photo of my order.
