For those of you who are not aware of it yet, Jim Kindred at Military Warehouse is offering a more period-correct style of bone button. These are different from his older style in that they have a wide, flat rim, a smaller center depression, are thinner and made from natural bone as opposed to whited bone. I recently received several hundred of the new buttons (in two sizes) and am gearing up to use them on all new and standing orders for tents and CS trousers.
Perhaps my favorite thing about the buttons (apart from the great appearance) is the quick and uniform dye absorption. I hand dyed a few hundred of his new buttons for use in trousers, drawers, shirts, and shelter tents, and I couldn't be happier with the results!
If these aren't good enough reasons to pick up a few of his new buttons then the price is; they are in fact the most affordable and reasonably priced authentic bone button you can buy when compared to those available from other vendors.
Thanks again Jim!
