  • "J.H. Silverberg" Vendor??

    Quickie,

Anyone know who the vendor is who uses the maker's label:

    J. H. Silverberg The Original Confederate Cap Factory 382 King Street Charleston S. C?

    Thanks,

Jason, this was an original cap mfg. during the war and a picture of this label can be found in EOG. I have used this label in caps I made along with just about everone else who makes caps out there. Quality of the label reproduction varies widely. They became so common that I stopped using them and went to other label examples that I had studied in original caps that have not been copied. Your cap could be made by just about anyone.
    Hope this helps!

      Jason,

I used to have a kepi from Dirty Billy that had that maker's mark in it.

If all you need is the label, give me a shout. E-mail or PM through the A/C works just fine.

          Oh...

Well I have been given the opportunity to buy a real ACE kepi and saw the label. I was just curious who had made it because I'm fairly certain I wasn't from the gentleman who's selling it. I thought someone only used this type of label in their work.

See! You can find some good things on eBay...

          Thanks all.
