  • re: Nick ************- What I Want You To Know

    To All:

I wish to publicly extend to Nick ************ my apologies for my heavy-handed treatment of him over these past few weeks. We have been in communication and have completely ceased "hostilities". Our transaction has been finalized. I feel a considerable measure of shame and embarrassment that I was not able to conduct myself in a more mature and reasonable fashion.

I also wish to retract any negative comments I made concerning his business practices as a whole. I have no right to affect the man's reputation by virtue of my public display of discontentedness. I am past that, grateful for Nick's acceptance of my apologies, and wish for peace and happiness for him and for all in the New Year.

    Thank you.

I applaud you taking the time to post this and I am glad things worked out. Your sentiment at this time of year is right on the money.

      Joe,

      Happy Holidays!

We all make mistakes. A man understands this and learns from his errors. We have all made mistakes and often emotions take over and we act before we can reason. I am as guilty as the next. Getting older makes us wiser and I know I am not the hot head immature young man I once was, even though I do see him in the mirror from time to time.

Thank you for leading the way and demonstrating humility and honor at this time of year to your brothers.

Have a warm and safe holiday with your family and friends.
      Respectfully,

It takes a man to make a sincere apology.

There is alot that can be learned from this....mainly, "Never ruin an apology with an excuse." Joe you "Manned -up", many could learn from this.

Re: Nick ************- What I Want You To Know

Reputation of an individual in our hobby is very important- For me, it is s part of why I love this hobby so much... the fact that a "man's word" is still his bond and the measure by which he is judged by others.

I personally think of that idea especially when interracting with fellow hobbyists. We are a small community and we need not "poison-the-water' in which we are together with ill-politics or ill-will toward others of our collective interests. It is highly important we have a concerted effort at this as individuals and hobbyists.

I wished more hobbyists would apologize when they feel in their heart or mind they have wronged someone.

Bravo to you sir. That takes true nerve.

                Mr. Lloyd,

We are all the subjects of our humanity. We all fall short of perfection and give in to our emotions from time to time. I am happy that I can enjoy a hobby with people such as yourself. "To err is human..." I too aplaud you. Happy Holidays.

                  Sir-

Thanks for your comment. It means much.

I feel many people have been saying it already amongst us, but (especially around this time-of-year) we need to actually practice it and all year. That is what struck clear with a wonderful thread like this one that Mr. Madden posted. It made me remember what the good qualities of being in our hobby are all about.

In our hobby bad politics, deceit and ill-will should have no place because they degrade our camraderie- when that happens, that's a hobby I want no part of.

I wanted to also say that my sentiments to Mr. Lloyd go to Mr. Madden and all of you as well. I have learned a lot in the short amount of time that I have been a greatful part of this forum from you all and I appreciate it. Happy Holidays.
