I just got my "Thaxton Box" English Enfield reproduction and it is fantastic! It is well worth the price and I'd highly recommend it to anyone needing an English Cartridge box with a proven original example.

Folks,

When I was up at the WVM in January I had a chance to hold and examine the Thaxton box and marvel at the superb condition it is in considering its age. Within a few hours I was also able to examine Tim's reproduction in the same manner, and let me just say that the only difference was that one had aged 150 years! Just hold one of these boxes and immediately you'll realize that they are a testament to Tim's enjoyment of making them, and the pride he takes in his work. So take it from a 100% impartial observer who had the unique opportunity to examine the original and the reproduction in the span of a few hours, these boxes are as close to spot on as they come!

Well you fellows convinced me, I just ordered a Thaxton box & sling from Tim. Thanks for helping me spend my money :) Now we need to convince Tim to do an English import waist belt as well.
