I wanted to briefly voice my opinion on some of the products now being offered by Kiev. Knowing Kiev for some time, and knowing his love for historical craftsmanship, I contacted him about putting together a simple Confederate enlisted kepi, and the end result was outstanding. I purchased a kepi from Kiev last week-end and I'm very pleased with it. He 's also a good guy to deal with. He will definitely get my return business.

I believe Kiev is planning to apply for the Approved Vendor program. Eric and I talked about that a week ago and I talked with Kiev about it at Remembrance Day.

We'll keep you all posted on how that process goes.

I own a vest, a cap pouch, a red overshirt (red shirt of death) and a Federal officer's sack coat made to my specification by Kiev. I am super pleased with what I got and belive me when I say that Kiev is doing very very good work. His sticking to period construction, materials, and methods are great and he continuely improves his craft. He is my go to guy for custom gear and "different" items.
