  • Confederate Shoulder Boards

    I have seen many photos of Confederate Officers wearing shoulder boards. Does anyone have any idea how common this was among Confederate Officers to wear shoulder boards, or was the gold metalic braid more common? I'm completely new to the officer realm. Thanks!

    Brandon,

    There are many photos showing CS officers wearing shoulder boards, so obviously some chose that way to display rank.
