Corinth Canteens

Hi,

Between a Federal smooth side canteen or a Confederate tin drum canteen, which one would be more authentic for a Confederate to be wearing at the Battle of Corinth Mississippi in October of 1862? Thanks.

Tin drums have been dug in the Corinth area as well as Shiloh and if I were to choose this would be the choice. Federal canteens also dug in this area but to say it was being used by a Confederate is only a guess where as the tin drum type is pretty much a sure thing.
