  • Federal issue gum blankets

    Hi,

Where is the best place to buy a Federal issue gum blanket? I looked through the Approved Vendors list, but could not find anyone that sells a Federal gum blanket. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Sure wish this wasn't a secret. I'd like to know as well.;)

Did Jarnagin discontinue his? Couldn't find any on his site. And while I know he's not an approved vendor, it seems a lot of people here spoke highly of his gum blankets.

The certain vendor from New Jersey who cannot be spoken of here on this website carries a very good reproduction of the Federal issue gum blanket. I think that is why so many people have been sending PMs, as his name can't be allowed to be said on this website.

                    Re: Federal issue gum blankets

                    Reminder on Approved Vendors:

Folks there is NOTHING WRONG with discussing vendors who are not on the AV list.

What WOULD BE a problem would be to recommend ANY product with known flaws (authenticity-wise), simply because it is "cheap" or can be delivered quickly, etc.

Being an "Approved Vendor" on this site is a two-way street. If a quality vendor is NOT on the list, it is likely because they have no interest. There is nothing expressed or implied about the quality of one's products or customer service by their NOT being on the list and there is no 'Rejected Vendor List'.

                    Regarding ************:
The fact that he is not named here is at the request of ************. The gent in-question is an artisan of unquestioned knowledge and skill who's products I carry into the field at almost every event I attend. I've never seen his gum blanket, but I'm sure its dandy.

Jan Berger, of Lederarsenal.com has some fine looking replicas. Yes, he is in Europe but shipping isnt too much worse than from some places in the US. Give his site a look - I have seen cartridge boxes and shoes of his manufacture - both excellent items.
