Hey guys,
Quick question. Does anyone know where I can find the Ordnance Returns for Ben McCulloughs 1st Texas Mounted Rifles? During the winter of 1861-62 he made each company compile a list of arms in order to see just how bad is logistical nightmare was going to be in order to supply such a wide variety of arms. Company E was wintered here at Fort McKavett and I'd like to get a copy of it's return if possible.
Second question...there is a company called "Inert depot" or something like that which makes freaking amazing dummy cartridges for display. I own several including .54 Mississippi Rifle Minie Ball, .69 Buck and Ball, and Mexican War era .54 roundball rifle/carbine. I would like to get more of these for our exhibits but I don't have a good contact for them (or any company like it for that matter).
Any help would be appreciated.
