I own an old desk that originates from Blaine TN in Grainger county.
I have been told it is either a field desk or a schoolmasters desk.
My son's great grandfather was the local postmaster and we were told it was a field or campaign desk. we have also been told it may be a schoolmasters desk.
It has an unusual inlaid mark on the top of a sideways 8.
it consists of three pieces.
The top that has a drop down front with cubby holes.
The middle section has two drawers and
the bottom is a sawbuck design.
Am I able to post pictures on this forum?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
