    I saw this while scanning through ebay today, I can't speak for the authenticity of the ring but since there have been numerous past posts about the masonic culture of the civil war I thought this ring would be of interest.

    Wow! Thanks for sharing that with us. If only I were more ambitous I would attempt to make a copy of that ring, but I guess there is no proof he carried it in the war so its all good. I have a copy of a masonic ring found out here at Camp Floyd that a friend carved out of bone for me. I guess that one works as the troops were out here before the war :). Beautiful piece though...

      WOW! That is great stuff! Even if it can't be proven that it was made during the war...still, a VERY cool ring!

        Wonder what it is made out of probaly brass or copper, if it was dug which it isn't it could have been gold plated.
