For any of you from Southwest Virginia/ East Tennessee I work at Tipton-Haynes Historic Site in Johnson City. We have a temporary exhibit from the Tennessee State Museum that focuses on Cavalry in Tennessee during the war. There is a good section on irregulars. One of the artifacts with the exhibit is the actual ball and chain that was "attached" to Champ Ferguson before his demise. The exhibit will be here through December 13th so if you get a chance stop in, there are alot of cool artifacts relating to the area. Its free to the public as well. :wink_smil
