  • TRULY authentic corduroy?

    All,
First post here! Now, the search function yielded no results, but that could be a spelling issue. Bottom line.... I've seen corduroy used in some authentic garments, never having the foresight to ask of it's origins. Now, noone that I have found in the way of Childs or Tart etc., is producing a version of corduroy. So, I am really just wandering if anyone who has bought it, or has used it to make garments knows where to get a truly authentic corduroy? I mean, TRULY AUTHENTIC? Looking at some original garments and photos, the type of corduroy you see seems to be primarily the 'thin line' type rather than the wider option. But, most of the garments I've seen reproduced seem to be the wider version, looking no different than a pair of pants from old navy or some other store. If this is a correct style, that is fine. I'm really just looking for any and all information I can get on this material.

    YOS,
