  • "Authentic" Notebooks/Paper products

Do you guys know who provides at least a semi authentic notebook or ledger type thing. The sort of thing such as an Officer or NCO would carry in his coat pocket ?

Barnhouse Goods has little notebooks--and if I am recalling correctly, Kathy Bradford of Preservation Parcels also has such in her comfort kits.

Both can be found in the AC Approved Vendor listing.

Check the Sullivan Press for documents. I believe he may also have some notebooks: www.sullivanpress.com

Keep an eye out if you are in a small bookstore, especially if the store is in a handi-work kind of region. I've found small handmade notebooks in such shops that are spot-on. Marbleized covers are great, too. The best ones I've found were actually at a market in Venice, Italy! I should have bought more than just one at the time!

          Here's what I use:

They're especially nice if you lacquer the outsides and add marbled paper to the inside of the covers pages. You can find them at most local chain bookstores (Barnes & Noble, etc.).

Barnes & Noble carries quality styles from moleskin to leather bound notebooks at a decent price.

Is Sullivan Press still in business? I have heard they take forever to send your items. I used to order from them, but it has been a couple of years.

You would be better off going with other choices listed here. I have made purchases from Ezra Barnhouse. I know they are real good to deal with, not to mention they have quality items.
