  • Captain Allison photo

Ive run across an interesting picture of a CSA Captain with shoulder insignia with the Austrian grouping of three bars rather than the Federal two bars. The picture link is noted below.
    Kind regards

Possibly a militia photo or State regs...There is an Early-War photo of Gen. Carnot Posey, in his uniform, with crescent moons on his shoulder straps....

No need of writing then but we can talk and talk again, and my boy can talk to me and I will never tire of listening to him and he will want to go with me everywhere I go, and I will be certain to let him go if there is any possible chance."

Capt. Allison was a handsome devil, wasn't he. But then again, he was a Texan.

Thanks for posting that image. Our group portrays the 6th Texas, which also was at Arkansas Post. Perhaps our newly-elected Captain will adopt the three bar shoulder straps.
