    His Colt 1851 and several other personal items were recently sold for 12,000 through BurleyAuction. They mention a write up in NorthSouth Trader about the items, you should be able to find that article. If one was really inclined, maybe try to contact buyer of items. There were some tintypes listed with the items.

    Pvt. Gustave Gotthardt wrote that in Mesilla "a pair of pants costs $10 here" went on to say "I have sufficient clothes except pants, so I had a pair made from a heavy sack that I had taken along."
