  • Ground Hog!

    HI Y'all
I was just wondering if anyone knows how authentic it would be to take a groundhog on a reenactment to eat? and if so how would it be prepared?
    Thanks in advance.

Sir-- It would appear that you would be better served taking a groundhog to work and keeping him with you.

Ha ha, is it April 1st or something? Stick with your rations as they'll usually not bite you back...

Just in case folks were looking for a definition of the word "nincompoopery":
        Here ya go.

If they used it, they'd have had it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not above cullinary adventures in the name of authenticity. I sampled Woodburn's famous "rat of Vicksburg" in 2007. However, it appears you're looking for a reason to eat a groundhog at an event, which seems silly.
