  • Civilian Cantel Valise - Looking for Addt'l Pics

I have the ones from Mr. Knopp's outstanding book.

Anyone tote a military sized blanket in 6.5 inch one ?

    Thanks in advance.

Summer weight blankie--yes, as they will roll tightly enough.

    Winter weight----mine would not fit.

If you are asking about a -saddle valise -I would point out that carrying a blanket was not the designed purpose for them. They are for carrying personal items while traveling on horseback such as extra shirt, socks, small items etc etc pretty much the same purpose as saddlebags. If you already knew that then pardon me but there are better ways to carry a blanket while traveling. If you are looking at carrying one on horseback feel free to pm me and I will give you some suggestions that might work better for you and free up the valise for what it is intended for.. be it military or civilian.

Paddy thanks you are a good man.

I think I am scrapping the blanket and valise for the rolled overcoat / ground cloth. I only carry a spare domet shirt.
