  • Richmond marked items

    G´day,

are there any known Richmond-Depot marked cap-pouches like
    Jarnigan uses to offer ??
Marked RICHMOND on the outside flap.

I know an unmarked one will be the best for a generic average
    confederate impression starting fall 1862.

But again are there any known RD-capboxes and if there is a Yeah- where are they marked and how?

    Regards

    Re: Richmond marked items

    Ingo,

A phone call to Butch Myers at 804-288-9380 will likely answer your questions pertaining to Richmond and Richmond contractor manufactured goods, and raise many more questions in the process. If he has seen any boxes marked in that manner come through the shop during the past 4 decades, he'll be glad to discuss the particulars with you. Be prepared to talk for at least an hour, maybe three. The time will be worth the education.

      Re: Richmond marked items

      Thanks a lot.
Well, I will try to get in touch with Butch meyers.
      Does he have a E-mail-adress ??
Would be more easier than a long distance call from good ole europe.

I mailed Dave Jarnigan about this quest ´cause he is offering
these items but sadly there was no reply

Jarnigan still sells this type pouch. Why don't you e-mail him? He has been very cooperative when I have asked questions about his products.
