Hello Lee, This is simple for you!
Make your own!!! It is 1863, September-- it is the Army of the
Tennessee-- All Federal Government issue clothing-- unless specifically to a Regiment or unit, with the corresponding research and photos to document the change. Have them send you a photo of themselves.

Re: Most Stringent Western Fed Authenticity Regulations

          Lee,

The most stringent event I went to was one where EVERY item I had, even though I only took things that met their posted guidlelines, were inspected. Every guy individually went through this inspection. They only let in what they approved, not what I thought met their guidlelines. Some guys took things back to their car, and if they the guy couldn't do without the item, the event could do without the guy. Yep, they didn't care. The organizers were bent on authenticity and weren't afraid to hold up their standards. I can't count how many events I've gone to with great guidlelines, only to be met by organizers who were not willing to enforce them. I think it's more important than great guidelines. My two cents.
